To our wonderful family and friends - We thank each and every one of you for the amazing and overwhelming support and wonderful messages. Each of them meant the world! Thank you! Our first night with our little guy was an amazing experience, one
neither of us will forget.
Unfortunately, that may have been all the time we get to spend with him. I was sick with the flu for most of last week and figured I was most of the way over it by the time we got him on Thursday, though I still only about 80% better.
Yesterday Kenny came home from work and said he started feeling the symptoms.I immediately called
DCFS and let them know the situation for not to risk this wonderful little guy's health, since he is only 2 weeks old and has been through enough in that time already. They came and put him in a
res pit care home for the weekend, saying that we were still the foster parents and we can have him back on Monday when, and if, we are feeling better and nothing happens with his case by then. We are crossing our fingers and saying prayers, especially since today is Kenny's birthday and he wanted nothing more for it to spend with his new little man...poor baby. Anyway, thank you so much again for all your support! A lot of you asked me about some of the details on his case and believe me, you can't imagine how hard it is for me not to post pictures and tell all of you all about him, but
unfortunately, until we have a permanent situation, I can't. I love you all and wish you all the best on this day. We will be doing everything we can to be planting our bums in bed and praying to get our little boy back for the remainder of the time we get the
privilege of having him in our lives!
